Fashion & Design Week – Meena

Uju Offiah, a protege of Nigerian designer Ituen Basi is the creative director behind the label – Meena, and she was one of the designers to showcase on Day 4 of the GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week.

Showcasing her Spring/Summer 2015 collection, the Meena brand set out to ‘wow’ and that is best description of the pieces showcased.

Using lovely cuts and prints, the collection was filled with easy to wear pieces that were the perfect balance of chic and adventurous without being overwhelming.

According to the designer, “The Meena lady can be defined as adventurous and conservative. Conservative because she does not want her femininity to be portrayed wrongly. Adventurous because she refuses to follow trends but rather carves out a stylish niche for herself which she exudes confidently“.
